CARIA. Knidos. Circa 465-449 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 6.25 g, 6 h). Forepart of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Κ-Ν-Ι Diademed head of Aphrodite to right, wearing pearl necklace and with her hair falling down the back of her neck and tied at the end; all within incuse square. BMC 15. Cahn 71 (V36/R52). SNG Copenhagen 242 (same dies). Nicely toned and with a fine head of Aphrodite. Minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
